Orange Mountain Cherry Liqueur

Terry Dolle first produced Orange Mountains Cherry Liqueur in December 2003. Orange Mountains Cherry Liqueur was produced from premium cherries grown in the high altitude of Orange, using an old basket press and a lot of muscle to extract the most intense cherry juice ready for processing.

The rich flavours of the cherry liqueur have proved popular not only as a drink on its own, but as a cocktail mixer, and in the kitchen for both savory and sweet dishes. Some cocktails to try are the cherry daiquiri and cherry surprise, or for a great party starter mix the Orange Mountain Cherry Liqueur with sparkling wine for a delicious pink Cherry Royale.

The Cherry Liqueur used in cooking is only limited to the Chefs imagination. A main dish made at the Old Convent Café for functions is a duck breast with a sour cherry momart using the Orange Mountain Verjus to deglaze the pan and then the Orange Mountain Cherry Liqueur completes a scrumptious sour cherry momart. The ultimate use of course is in deserts, any chocolate or pudding style dessert can be enhanced with the use of this liqueur or simply as a drink to accompany.
